I Met Her at the Right Time

Ana learned from her church that One by One Ministries offers a Spanish-language ministry for pregnant and new moms in her community. Stepping out in faith, she decided to volunteer as a mentor. One by One quickly matched her with her first OBO mom. Since then, she has served three moms and volunteered at a Christmas Mom Blessing Day for Hispanic moms in Dallas, TX.

In late 2024, One by One matched Ana with Fazy, a 19-year-old who had just learned she was pregnant with her first child. Fazy said, “I needed someone who could offer me encouragement so I wouldn’t feel alone in this situation.”

Fazy says Ana has been a great, positive role model. Ana has provided support and helpful parenting information that guided Fazy through her pregnancy and her child's first few months. Ana was also able to take Fazy to One by One's 2024 Christmas Mom Blessing Day in Dallas where Fazy was able to pick up gifts and needed items for her and her baby.

We are grateful for all the ways the Lord works through our OBO en Español volunteers to assist moms in the Hispanic community. We are also grateful for the churches that partner with One by One en Español by providing volunteers, financial support, and awareness so that more moms know they can request an OBO mentor for support, baby development information, parenting education, resource connections, and the love and hope found in Jesus.
