The Fun Part
One by One paired Marsha and Bibi shortly after Bibi learned she was pregnant. They met for the first several months via video calls but were able to get together for a baby shopping outing sponsored by the MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) organization at Marsha’s church. Bibi is due in early August, and the ladies recently had a chance to get together for lunch. Marsha took Bibi the One by One curriculum for lesson one after the baby is born. She told Bibi, “This is the fun part!” and talked about all the fun they’ll get to have with her baby and the activities in each lesson. “There’s a lot to look forward to.”
They have enjoyed going through the prenatal curriculum and thinking through life when the baby arrives. Bibi is a student at the University of Texas San Antonio, studying to be a teacher. She has support from her boyfriend and some family. One of the baby’s grandmothers and an aunt have offered to babysit while Bibi is in class, but she’s elected to take online classes in case babysitting falls through. Marsha says Bibi’s thinking through a lot and working to make a doable plan for when the baby arrives.
Marsha has also told Bibi about One by One’s blog and other resources for new moms. She has encouraged Bibi to get involved with the local MOPS group to meet other new moms her age.
Marsha says she really appreciates the program and curriculum that One by One provides, and she’s looking forward to putting the newborn curriculum into place when Bibi’s baby arrives next month. Please join Marsha and us in prayer for a sage labor and delivery for Bibi and her little one. We can’t wait to welcome another baby to One by One!
