Far from Home: India

This OBO mom, newly married, moved to Dallas from India alone only to learn after she arrived in the U.S. that she was pregnant. The mom had no family in the U.S. and little support. In addition to providing friendship, encouragement, and parent education, her mentor helped her find an apartment and worked to help her husband move from India to Dallas in time for their baby’s arrival. This mom says her One by One mentor has been her lifeline.
