This Program Really Did Save a Life

When Brianna first learned she was pregnant, there was a time she didn’t want to go through with the pregnancy. She was scared. She had no family support. She didn’t know what to do. Her sister had heard of One by One and told her to give us a call.

One by One matched Brianna with June. Brianna credits her relationship with June for putting her in the right place with God, refocusing her faith, and improving her relationship with God, which she says is so much stronger now.

Brianna and June have been together three years – completing our Year 1 and Year 2 programs and moving into our Discipleship program. Brianna now says she is so glad she didn’t go through with her first decision when she had no one to help her. “I am so grateful to have had June by my side. She has helped me overcome so many obstacles and helped with everything I was worried about.”

June says Brianna is an amazing mom. “I just continue to reminder Brianna she is more than enough. She is priceless, and she needs to remember God loves her more than she can imagine.” June also reminds Brianna that God will reveal everything she needs to know if she continues to keep reading God’s word and praying.

Brianna encourages others who may be considering terminating their pregnancies not to think that is their only option. “You have more help than you realize. It’s not just a mentor. One by One helps with everything. Your mentor is there for you and can help you get some things you need. This program really did save a life. Now I can’t imagine my life without my kids. I’m so blessed to have my mentor and this program.”

Any pregnant or new mom can apply for a mentor at www.onebyoneformoms.org. Each mentor and mom meets monthly throughout the mom’s pregnancy and her child’s early years. Mentors provide friendship, support, parenting education, baby growth and development information, access to resources, and the love and hope of Jesus. Mentors cannot provide financial assistance, transportation, or babysitting.
